Code Enforcement Notice

Spring is approaching. Finally! With the new season around the corner, the Moscow Mills Police Department would like to remind everyone that this is the time to do some Spring cleaning. We have had many citizens state concerns regarding ordinance violations. In response to these concerns, the Moscow Mills Police Department will be actively seeking out these violations in the coming months. Our goal is, and always has been, to have voluntary compliance regarding these issues. We will attempt to work with residents to make certain there are no code violations, as well as ways to help rectify the issues.

The key issues are usually: tall grass, Junk or abandoned vehicles, Junk in the yards, and the absence of address numbers on the residence or building. Please click here for further information.

Fireworks Ordinance

With Independence Day fast approaching, please remember to keep the city’s fireworks ordinance in mind. Use of fireworks within the city limits is prohibited, except on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of July. On those days, however, you still may not use any rockets, bottle rockets, or any other types of fireworks with an aerial trajectory that does not completely consume itself before landing, or use any fireworks in ways which endanger any person or property (sections 66.040 and 66.050, City Code).
